This tour offers departure points in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. Depending on your pick-up point selection, the tour duration will be from 5 to 7 days. The price will vary accordingly. The “Base Tour”, or core, will begin on the day the last group of travelers join the tour, and end on the first day they begin to leave. “Additions”, like a "Gathering" or "Post" core night, to that base tour will allow all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible.

April 15
* Travelers departing from IOWA or MINNESOTA take advantage of our ‘gathering overnight’ at the DoubleTree Hotel in Alsip, IL or similar. Remaining travelers can arrive on their own at the hotel for a complimentary night or choose to join the group on April 16 from our identified departure locations.
* For those staying in the Chicagoland area, meet your tour manager and enjoy breakfast the next morning.
April 16
* Enjoy the scenic Indiana countryside as we make our way to Fair Oaks Farm for a tour and lunch on your own.
* We arrive in Indianapolis where we’ll enjoy dinner and a musical show at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre.
* Overnight at the Drury Plaza Hotel - Indianapolis, IN, or similar.
April 17
* This morning, we’ll travel to Kentucky.
* Upon arrival in Louisville, our first stop will be at the Kentucky Derby Museum, followed by a guided tour of Churchill Downs.
* At Hermitage Farm, we’ll enjoy a day filled with a garden tour, a hayride, a guided walking tour to meet the horses in the Stud Barn, and a farm-to-table lunch at the awardwinning restaurant Barn8.
* We’ll enjoy dinner together before our first of two overnights at the Embassy Suites by Hilton - Lexington Green, KY, or similar.
April 18
* Sure to be an interesting stop, we’ll explore the historic Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, the third largest Shaker village in the U.S. between 1805 and 1910.
* A special treat in store - enjoying a Shaker musical performance while lunching at Trustees’ Table.
* Next, we’ll visit Mary Todd Lincoln’s (wife of President Abraham Lincoln) house to learn more about her life, and enjoy one of Mrs. Lincoln's famous white cupcakes.
* Before turning in, enjoy exploring and dinner on your own at a restaurant located near our hotel.
April 19
* This morning, we’ll visit the Waveland Historic Site. It has a family history tied to folk hero Daniel Boone.
* Our guided walking tour of Old Friends Farm offers us an up-close look at retired racing Thoroughbreds.
* On our way to our overnight at The Blu Hotel, Blue Ash - Cincinnati, OH, we’ll enjoy a riverboat dinner cruise.
April 20
* As we start our journey home, relax and enjoy the views while sharing your trip highlights with your fellow travelers.
* Travelers departing the tour in Indiana and Illinois, welcome back to your departure locations.
* Travelers continuing to Iowa and Minnesota, enjoy an overnight at the Doubletree Hotel - Alsip, IL, or similar
