* Take advantage of convenient departure options in INDIANA, ILLINOIS, IOWA, or MINNESOTA as we make our way to Downtown Chicago, IL.
* Upon arrival, we’ll head to Navy Pier for free time and dinner together before our overnight in Chicago, IL.

June 9

* Today, we’ll see the Historic Route 66 sign, Chicago’s starting point of the Mother Road. Explore the Route 66 Welcome Center in Joliet, the Gemini Giant in Wilmington, and have lunch at the Polk-a-Dot Drive-In in Braidwood.
* Our next stops will be the Two-Cell Jail in Gardner, the Pontiac Route 66 Hall of Fame, Atlanta, IL’s Paul Bunyon Statue, and the World’s Largest Covered Wagon in Lincoln.
* After Legends Neon Sign Park, we’ll dine at the Cozy Dog Drive-In and overnight at Springhill Suites in Springfield, IL.

June 10

* We start our morning in Illinois with the Ace Sign Museum and Route 66 Motorheads Museum in Springfield.
* Next, we’ll see the Original Brick Road in Auburn, the Shrine of Our Lady of the Highways in Raymond, and Carlinville’s Macoupin County Courthouse & Cannonball Jail.
* Our following stops include the Litchfield Museum & Route 66 Welcome Center, lunch on your own at the Souls by Service Station in Mount Olive, and the Pink Elephant Antique Mall in Livingston.
* Our journey continues to Edwardsville’s West End Service Station, Collinsville’s World’s Largest Catsup Bottle, and a walk across the Chain of Rocks Bridge in Madison.
* Arriving to Missouri, our overnight will be at the Drury Inn & Suites St. Louis Union Station.

* Our first stop is the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis.
* On to the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis.
* We’ll enjoy lunch at Missouri Hick BBQ, followed by a photo op at the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, MO.
* Next, we’ll head to Springfield, MO to visit Uranus Fudge and the Route 66 Car Museum before our overnight.

* Arriving in Kansas, we’ll visit the Galena Mining & Historical Museum and the Route & Kan-O-Tex Service Station.
* Entering Oklahoma, we’ll see Waylan’s Ku-Ku Burger, the world’s largest concrete totem pole, the Blue Whale of Catoosa, and Claremore’s Will Rogers Memorial Museum.
* Explore Mother Road Market, Oklahoma’s first food hall, before our overnight at the Hampton Downtown, Tulsa, OK.

June 13

* Our first stops are the Sapulpa Historical Museum and the Waite Phillips-Barnsdall Filling Station Museum.
* We’ll continue to Gasoline Alley Classics, Inc., the Chandler Route 66 Interpretive Center, and the Arcadia Round Barn.
* We’ll stop at Pops 66 offering nearly 500 sodas before visiting the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
* Enjoy exploring and having dinner on your own in Bricktown before our overnight in Oklahoma City, OK.

June 14

* Our day starts at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton, followed by the National Route 66 and Transportation Museum in Elk City.
* Visit to the Conoco Tower Station & U-Drop Inn Café in Shamrock and the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, the world’s only field of Cadillacs buried nose-down.
* Enjoy dinner on your own in the Route 66 Historic District before our restful overnight.

June 15

* This morning, we’ll visit the Midpoint Café in Adrian, Route 66’s midpoint, 1,139 miles to Los Angeles and Chicago.
* Next, we’ll visit VW Slug Bug Ranch in Amarillo, with Beetles buried nose-down, followed by Combine City in Lake Tanglewood, where combines are sunk in a field. We’ll then continue to the Ozymandias of the Plains.
* Returning to Oklahoma City, we’ll visit the National Memorial & Museum, have dinner, and overnight in the city.

* Our first stop will be at the Historic Threatt Filling Station in Luther, followed by the Route 66 Historical Village in Tulsa.
* Next, we’ll visit the Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on 66, the East Meets West Statue and the Golden Driller Statue.
* New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle’s Childhood Home & Memorial Statue in Commerce.
* We’ll view 22-foot-tall "Big Bill" at the Hi-Way Café in Vinita.
* Stop at the Route 66 Mural Park in Joplin.
* We’ll dine together before our overnight in Joplin, MO.

* First stop is Meramec Caverns in Sullivan followed by a visit to Route 66 State Park & Museum in Eureka.
* After lunch on your own at Spencer’s Grill in Kirkwood, we’ll stop at Ted Drewes Frozen Custard for a malt or shake.
* Up next, the Maplewood Memories Neighborhood.
* Savor a Mississippi River Skyline Dinner Cruise and overnight at the Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch.

* As we start our journey home, this will be the perfect time to share your favorite Route 66 destinations.
* Welcome back to your departure locations. You return home with wonderful memories and photos from your adventure to share with family and friends.
